Hi! My name is Jalesa. I’m a homeschool mama of three and married to my high school sweetheart.

I started Tyrannosaurus Tot to expand my love for reading to other families. Ever since I was a little girl you could always find me with a book. Now as an adult and mom of three, you can still always find me with a book. There’s just something so magical about getting lost in a story, envisioning the scene and the characters.

When I had children, my love for reading only grew. A whole other world of stories and characters became accessible. I shared my love of reading with my own children. Books are scattered all throughout our house, readily available to emerge yourself into a story.

Then that love of reading turned into themed book crafts, often inspired by the book we had just read. These crafts allowed us to expand upon the story in our homeschool and take the story off the pages allowing my children to interact with the stories in a different way. Reading and crafts are our family’s things.

I want to make it your thing too! We are a curated book and craft box geared to ages 3-10. We have a curated collection of book craft boxes that contain a picture book and two to three curated craft projects for you and your child to create together. You’ll get everything you need in the box. I get that not everyone has time to come up with curated crafts and scroll Pinterest for hours upon hours. I want to make the experience as seamless as possible. 

We recently opened a children's book & craft studio; allowing us to offer a wider ranger of children and tween books and offering a wide range of craft classes for your families.

I hope some of these books become your family’s favorites, that these crafts create time together, and that this book and craft box encourages a love for reading and imagination.

The goal is to encourage book play, literacy, creativity, and quality time through reading and crafts. It’s a win-win combination.

Oh, and if you’re wondering why dinosaurs? My children have been making little dinosaur noises since they were infants. They still do.
